Interfaith Week Buddy Scheme

Swindon Interfaith Group is excited to announce we will be participating in the Interfaith Week ‘Buddy’ scheme throughout October and November 2020.

The scheme is open to those of all faiths and none; we will attempt to match you up as part of the scheme with someone of a different faith.

If you would like to take part, drop us a comment on this post with your name and faith or e-mail us:

Taking a Virtual Tour

During tonight’s AGM meeting we will be sharing three videos that give us an opportunity to virtually visit and learn more about three holy sites from around the world.

If you want to watch these again, they can be found on Youtube;
‘A Day In a Buddhist Temple’ –
Revealed: The Golden Temple –
Baha’i House of Worship –

There are also some other videos we won’t get chance to show, so you can also see these:
Visiting a Hindu Temple –
Latter Day Saints Temple –

We very much look forward to you joining our session, but if you can’t make it – we hope that you enjoy these videos.

Interfaith Update

We have really missed seeing you all since our last event back in February, it feels like it has been much longer!

Tonight the interfaith committee met for the first time since Coronavirus hit us back in March and it was really great to connect and start discussing the green shoots our exit from ‘hibernation’.

We have now confirmed that we will hold our re-scheduled AGM virtually via Zoom on Wednesday 5th August 2020, further details to be published nearer the time. The AGM will be followed by a virtual tour of a holy site of interest.

We are looking at what type of events and activities we might be able to organise for later in the year and would love to hear from our members on what they would like to see, given it is unlikely we will be able to organise any significant physical gatherings until much later in the year. Please participate in the poll or add your thoughts/ comments below.
