Swindon Interfaith Group is saddened to hear the news of the proposed imminent closure of the National Interfaith Network; you can find more information and background on these proposals in the below email.
The National Interfaith Network provides support for and guidance for Interfaith relations at a national and local level as well as coordination of the fantastic Interfaith Week; which we have marked here in Swindon for many years.
We would like to reassure our members and supporters that the Swindon Interfaith Group’s finances and organisational structure is not linked to the National Interfaith Network and we hope to continue to support the work of Interfaith relations here in Swindon at a local level for many years to come. We will shortly sending out more details of our next meeting, our forthcoming AGM on Wednesday 13th March 2024.
Swindon Interfaith Group has been a local body member of the National Interfaith Network for a number of years and we very much appreciate the work and value they bring to network and we hope that a funding solution might be found in the coming weeks. If you have the chance, we would encourage you to take part in the linked petition as well as to raise the issue with your local MP.
