Interfaith Update

We have really missed seeing you all since our last event back in February, it feels like it has been much longer!

Tonight the interfaith committee met for the first time since Coronavirus hit us back in March and it was really great to connect and start discussing the green shoots our exit from ‘hibernation’.

We have now confirmed that we will hold our re-scheduled AGM virtually via Zoom on Wednesday 5th August 2020, further details to be published nearer the time. The AGM will be followed by a virtual tour of a holy site of interest.

We are looking at what type of events and activities we might be able to organise for later in the year and would love to hear from our members on what they would like to see, given it is unlikely we will be able to organise any significant physical gatherings until much later in the year. Please participate in the poll or add your thoughts/ comments below.

AGM – 25th March – Postponed

In light of the developing medical advice and ongoing updates on Coronavirus, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our AGM, scheduled for 25th March 2020.

The Swindon Interfaith Committee will confirm new arrangements for the AGM as soon as practically possible.

In the meantime, please stay safe and well.

Please keep interacting with us via our Facebook page, it’s important now – more than ever to keep the dialogue going and stay in touch!

Hindu Temple Visit 19th Feb

Dear friends.

 We are sorry for the change of date for our visit to Swindon Hindu Temple.

This will now take place on Wednesday 19th February 2020 at 7.30 pm.

The trustees of the Temple are especially looking forward to welcoming our group.

We are sure everyone will be inspired to see the great effort that the Hindu community have made to convert and dedicate this building for worship.

They are also providing a valuable meeting place for various activities serving the needs of local people.

Please join us for this great opportunity to learn about the Hindu faith and culture.
 {Please be aware that when we go upstairs to the worship area we should leave our shoes on the racks provided.}
