We hope you’ve all been enjoying the warm sunshine, over the last few weeks we’ve been keeping ourselves busy in upgrading our website – we hope you like the new format! We have some more enhancements to make over the next few months – so keep checking back for more updates!
We really enjoyed our annual inspirational writings and poetry evening at TWIGs during July, as usual it was great to share some meaningful quotes. This years topic was “Mind, Body and Soul” and we had readings from a number of faith groups, as well as some that were from a non-faith background.
In other news, we had official confirmation in July that we are now officially members of the Interfaith Network for the UK – this is a significant step for us at Swindon Interfaith and we look forward to working with the national body and learning about how we can improve.
Our next committee meeting is on Wednesday 8th August where we will be planning the events taking place in the next few months.
The next event is 19th September, where will be working together to do a Litter Pick in one of our local communities – more information on this soon!
